Angelo, Gordon & Co and APF International buy a unique office portfolio in Amsterdam Centrum
Angelo, Gordon & Co en APF International have acquired three historic office buildings in the centre of Amsterdam through a joint venture. This portfolio amounts to approximately 15,000 m² of lettable office space and parking.
These three properties are situated on Herengracht (Herenstaete), Keizersgracht (De Sterre) and Van Diemenstraat (IJ-point) in Amsterdam. International real estate advisor Cushman & Wakefield advised Canal View B.V. on the sale.
The joint venture will renovate the properties to a high standard and reposition them with a number of unique office concepts. This will respond to the limited supply of large modern office space in the centre of Amsterdam (Amsterdam Centrum).
The buildings have a lettable floor space of more than 1,000 m² per floor. The Herengracht and Van Diemenstraat were already delivered early, but publication did not work because of the delayed delivery of the Keizersgracht. That was delivered this week. In total, this joint venture has acquired more than 120,000 m² of office space in Amsterdam and Utrecht over the past two years. Angelo, Gordon & Co is an investment advisor (with approximately $27 billion AUM) in alternative investments that mostly invests in real estate through joint ventures. APF International is an Amsterdam investment manager with approximately 1.1 billion euros AUM.
